Rides

Adult is anyone over 12 years of age
Child is between the ages of 2 and 12 (children must be accompanied by at least one adult)
Under 2 is a Lap Child (there is no charge for a lap child - but they must be accompanied by an adult)

 

Basic Ride - This is a 30 minute ride and scheduled anytime during our regular rides
- for example Halloween rides, Christmas rides, Valentines Day rides, or weekends
when we are out giving rides etc … $12.00 per adult and $6.00 per child

Personal Ride - This is a 30 minute ride scheduled anytime that we are not already
out - we bring the horse and carriage in just for that one ride to meet with your
schedule … $20.00 per adult and $10.00 per child

Hour Ride - This ride can be taken at any time, not just during our regular rides. It is
one hour long and can be very romantic! You can choose from a list of areas where
you would like to have this ride for example - Wingfield Road, a leisurely 1 hour ride
up wingfield with beautiful scenery (bring a bottle of wine and snacks to enjoy on the ride)
or Skyline Blvd (great at sunset) begins at the Ranch Park and goes along the Skyline trail
and back or, even the Historical Home Ride this ride takes you through some beautiful
uptown areas where you get to see the historical homes and murals and makes
a quick jaunt down Main St. … $35.00 per adult and $18.00 per child

Packages

 

Anniversary Ride - This ride is just over an hour and can be taken anywhere (within
reason) that the customer would like. This ride includes a bottle of sparkling cider
and toasting glasses. The just married sign (+ however many years it has been) is
placed on the back of the carriage and/or a framed banner with the customers name
i.e. “Happy 10th anniversary Tom and Anna” … $100.00

Proposal Ride - Very Romantic ride just over one hour long. Usually taken at
sunset, but can be at any time of the customers choosing. The carriage will stop at a
pre-determined spot and the driver will exit the carriage and stand at the horses'
head. The customer can either propose in the carriage or get off for a short walk to
propose. This ride includes a bottle of sparkling cider and toasting glasses with a
congratulations card. A “she said YES!” sign is placed on the back of the carriage for
everyone to see during the rest of the ride. … $100.00

Birthday Ride - We bring the horse and decorated carriage to your party! The carriage
can be decorated in a Princess theme, Cowboy theme, or Party and balloons theme.
If you have a different idea we will do our best to match whatever theme you are
having i.e. Hawaiian, Medieval times, or whatever just let us know!The carriage is
there for one hour and gives rides to everyone at the party. The birthday child gets
the opportunity to ride up front and hold the reins if they would like. … $100.00

Quinceaneras - What a wonderful way to welcome your daughter’s or
granddaughter’s 15th year, by having her arrive at her quinceaneras in a beautifully
decorated horse drawn carriage! What wonderful photos of her exiting the coach in
her beautiful gown. The ride and photo time is one full hour. … $100.00

All times of the packaged rides can be increased for an additional charge

Weddings

The circumstances of individual weddings differ so the package
prices are just a guideline

 

Wedding Package - Within Susanville/Janesville area. Two full hours. Fully
decorated wedding carriage. Let us bring the bride to be and her father (or wedding
party) in to make a grand entrance! We wait during the ceremony, and whisk off the
new couple after the service for a private romantic ride. We can deliver them to the
reception in style. We are there for all the photographs the couple would like and/or
to give rides to the guests. Includes bottle of sparkling cider (imprinted with the
couples names and wedding date) and toasting glasses as well as a beautiful just
married sign placed on the back of the carriage. One horse and wedding carriage … $250.00

(extra time $50.00 per hour or portion there of)

Sleigh Rides

 

Sleigh Rides - (Over the meadow and through the woods to Grandmother’s house
we go …) A 30 minute sleigh ride on snow and runners (not wheels) - This ride is
weather dependent! Johnston Family Carriages will be offering sleigh rides after the
first of the year, provided Susanville receives an adequate amount of snow. We are
currently in discussion as to the exact location of this ride. Warm blankets (provided)
and sleigh bells on the horses, makes this ride unique and fun! … $20.00 per adult and $10.00 per child

Group Rides and Packages

 

Parties - Our Shiloh wagon comfortably holds parties of about 10 people. Great for
Christmas parties, Christmas caroling, Business parties, Family reunions or any
event that requires more room than the carriage. Comfortable and fun, a great way
to enjoy the company of others. Can be decorated to match your theme. We do not
charge a per person fee for this ride. … $150.00 per hour and $65.00 per hour or
portion there of after that.
