Snowy Day Photos!

We get asked all the time ... "Isn't it too cold for the horses?"
Actually they love the snow! Horses grow a very thick and warm winter coat that protects them from the cold!
Their hooves (feet) are made of a material much like our fingernails which does not feel cold enabling horses to stand in the snow without feeling any discomfort!
Horses, especially the heavy draft breeds, can comfortably be in temperatures much colder than people, even warmly dressed, can stand!
